We're the Jaros family: Honza, Hana and our three kids, Danielle, Sophie and little Honza. From a sunroom in an old Queenslander in Hamilton, Brisbane, we design and 3D print accessories for the Thermomix TM7, plus a growing range for the kitchen, home and office. Everything is designed, printed, checked and packed by us. Nothing is outsourced or made overseas.
From Prague to a Brisbane sunroom
Honza and Hana came to Brisbane in March 2013 to study English, and we never left. Honza's background is in IT, with a Master's degree and years spent running servers and even his own internet provider back in the Czech Republic. In early 2024, one 3D printer arrived as a hobby. It didn't stay a hobby for long.
How it started: one spatula

It began with a friend. Alastair, a Thermomix consultant and our co-founder in the early days, asked for a better way to keep his spatula off the bench. It started as a pencil sketch and became our small flat spatula tray.
Alastair has since moved on to a new venture, and we're grateful for his help at the start.

Soon after came the spatula stand we still call "Cyclops" in the workshop. Cyclops was never easy. It took three or four versions to get the two-part lock right, and more to make the spatula sit firmly at the base.
For the lid cap, we modelled a dummy lid in CAD and used it to cut the exact opening, then printed a few more tests until it clicked into place. When the scale plate came along, we reworked the stand again, so today it comes with or without a scale plate holder.
The products that surprised us

The scale plate is Honza's favourite. It was his idea from the very beginning, and it's the one we reach for most in our own kitchen. Before printing a full plate, we print thin test rings like these to get the fit on the TM7 exactly right. The motor cover started the same way.

The screen cover, now our best seller, almost never happened. "I honestly thought no one would want it," Honza says. Then someone told him they'd love to try one, so he designed it. It's exactly 250 mm wide, the full width of the printer bed, so there's not a millimetre to spare. Not long after, "My Thermie" became the first cover with text, and the start of our personalised covers.
The hardest one? The bowl pin protector. The first idea had to be scrapped completely, and the design only worked once we borrowed the mechanism from our Twisty Turney.
A real family workshop

Honza built every printer in the workshop himself, from a box of parts to the first print. Nine of them now live in the sunroom: Forger, Replicator, Fabricator, Paskvil, Green Goblin, Orange Goblin, MKore4S, BigFoot and Bargain.

Behind the wall is the family TV room, which doubles as our packing station.
Honza is also the kids' main carer, so the work fits around school runs, after-school activities and contract jobs. Designing happens at night once the kids are in bed. Printing happens whenever he swings past home to empty a printer, start the next job or set up a personalised order. Packing happens during the day to make the 4:45 post run, or in the evening for the next day.
Everyone pitches in:
- Hana is an accountant by day. She keeps our books in order (and Honza on track), and when things get busy she'll swap a finished print and start the next one.
- Danielle runs our parcels from the car into the post office, and is the official approver of new designs.
- Sophie hides Honza's tools around the studio.
- Little Honza reorganises the packaging, and the filament spools, whether they need it or not.
The TM7 we design and test on is our family's everyday machine, so every accessory gets real use in a busy kitchen before it reaches yours. When we film for Facebook, the kids are our cast and crew.
Five stars, not four and a bit
We're fussy about quality. Sometimes a piece works perfectly but doesn't look 100% right, so we print it again. "Maybe it's perfectionism," Honza admits, "but I can't help it." Every order is checked before it's packed.
Your reviews keep us going. When the printers are being naughty, a new five-star review is what cheers us up. And to the Thermomix consultants we follow along the way: you're brave, you have secret powers, and our workshop wouldn't work without you all.
What's next
We design whenever we spot something that could work better, and we're growing beyond Thermomix into more kitchen, home and office products. The dream, mostly Hana's, is a dedicated studio with our own 100-printer farm.
Thank you for supporting a small Brisbane family business. If you have an idea for something we should make, we'd love to hear it.
